Westside recently lost not just a presenter, but one of our dearest friends. DJ D-Zine—Malcolm—was loved by everyone who knew him. His radiant smile, kind and caring nature, and incredible radio show brought an uplifting and cultured musical experience to all who tuned in.

Every show began with his signature line: “D-Zine Skool the place where you come to for a little bit of education but a whole load of fun!” And that’s exactly what it was. D-Zine shared his passion for music, playing the songs he loved and championing many emerging UK artists.

Malcolm had an amazing way with people. He was kind-hearted, talented, and genuinely cared about everyone he met. Every student he taught to DJ at Westside, every guest at our events, every listener—he left them all inspired. He always did everything with a smile and a remarkable energy that lit up every room.
